About Montezuma, Costa Rica: Montezuma is a very beautiful, laid back town about a 30 minute cab ride from the Tambor airport. Sheltered from the American-style commercialism of other Costa Rican beaches, Montezuma includes a long-stretch of protected beach, snorkeling, horseback riding, surfing, waterfall hiking and other activities at your fingertips. Ann’s friend Cathy claimed the restaurant view to be “like Tahiti.” For expert surfers, some of the country’s best waves are just short 30 minutes away.
